They are deluded. Piece from GG says it as it is, re- large bids recieved for certain players all of which were rejected because the aim of our Board is to get the Club back into the Championship. https://www.yorkshirepost.co.uk/spo...own-big-bids-to-keep-squad-together-1-9569572
I really hope thats a wind up - I just cant see it - we apparantly have turned down offers for players - McGeehan not been mentioned but he must be out of Sunderlands price range - if we sold Potts for £2Million - McGeeghan has to be at least 4 before we would even think about it - and then to our main rivals.... A lot different to George or Izzy
https://www.readytogo.net/smb/threads/one-more-signing-after-grigg-to-come.1460461/ Can't see it myself like.
There's a link to their forum where this is being discussed in this thread http://barnsleyfc.org.uk/threads/sunderland-fans-reckon-they’ve-signed-cameron-mcgeehan.276189/
Lets go through the logic then. If Mcgeehan went our current central midfield would consist of Mowatt and Dougall. Absolute made up story to wind us up I reckon.
Some on twitter now saying they are asking for an extension to get a deal completed for McGeehan. Really hope this isn't true...
It's all a load of rubbish anyway, but McGeehan worth twice as much as Potts? He's improved ten fold but he's basically had one good three month spell in two years. Potts had a lot more about him to a potential buyer and was deployed in a far more attacking role which is always worth more money. No slant on Cameron but is the reality.
This is all coming from one phone call to a local radio station (or live podcast, not sure). Nothing in it in the slightest.
