Our rivals seem capable of recording draws from the most unlikely of positions lately. I'm going for more of the same.
As I said elsewhere, Gills best chance is to put pressure on them early as that's when they're vulnerable, even if it means Sunderland drawing rather than losing games at home.
To be within touching distance of the top 2, they can't possibly be as rubbish as they have been in the last 3 games ive seen snippets of surely? But for good portions of the games they've been worked over. Dangerous at set pieces though. I fancy them to scrape a win at last, but I don't think Gillingham will make it easy. McGeady aside, just about all Sunderlands outfield players have the passing style (and ability... and a hint of bulk under those unflattering stripes) of Steve Bruce!
We're unlikely to win all our remaining games so like it or not other teams' results will probably affect promotion. Plus following all the scores is part of the "fun". The posts are confined to match day threads if you don't want to follow the other teams' scores.
Prior to the last couple of games when Sunderland had games in hand on us I agree. Now we need to show if we are worthy of staying in 2nd. Not relying on other teams failing.
