    He's inflating the terms just to appease the fans because they failed to sign him. We're not paying him anywhere close to 10k.

    The thing is, he never even said £10k, the fans on twitter further inflated it when he said close to 5 figures. You could argue that £6000 is close to 5 figures.

    As you say, he's trying to save face.

    Ah right, the only thing I read was him saying "close to 5 figures".

    Personally I took that as more likely to be in pounds and pence than £10k
