Not disputing that. Jose has the job of deciding if Davies or Walton are the better keeper. And he’s made that call in a must win game. Fair play. I hope it works out. As I’m sure we all do.
for once I am with you here my 'Commie' friend... young Jack has the opportunity to do a Luke Steele here ( like his debut at Anfield) ... lets hope it happens and he does indeed have a blinder... However could it also be a ploy to have an in built excuse should we lose. Hmmmm.
Big gamble by Jose, but no complaints from me. With the benefit of hindsight, it's a shame young Jack wasn't used earlier in the season. He could hardly have done any worse than Davies/Townend - the goalkeeping equivalent of the Chuckle Brothers. Good luck Jack. COYR
You’re kidding right? Just reading on twitter and on here it seems the vast majority of people don’t want him here now or next season. Just take a quick look at the ‘Jose yes or no’ thread. I don’t really get it. Until he has his own players and squad, then it’s unfair to judge him.
I just feel that the swapping and changing has cost us this season. We have never had a settled lineup at any stage.
I think what is clear is that Jose is his own man and will go win or lose doing what he thinks is best. Fair play to him too, he's beem asked to a job and be doing it.
Don't see anything that radical with the selection to be honest. Davies needed dropping - not like Walton can do much worse. And he stated Fryers would be rested in previous interview. Yids only odd selection in my opinion, however, saw a lot slating him on Twitter for his performance on Saturday.
I hope he has a really quiet game and doesnt have a save to make all night ! If Yids and Fryers are injured which looks likely as they arent even on the bench I've no complaints with the line up - whether its good enough is a different matter entirely
I don't think playing Walton is brave, I think it's ******* stupid. That said, I hope Walton does well, but I think it's the wrong decision.
I suppose the theory is he can't do any worse. We'll find out in the next 2 hours if that's the case.
Can we all stop talking about the size of Jose's grapefruits, there is a little bit of footy to be talking about instead.
I see what you meant now although there is a difference between not thinking the man is right for BFC and disliking him. I like him but I don't think he'll achieve much with the club (not necessarily his fault mind).
