Sorry for starting a new thread and it is not my intention for this thread to run and run. However, I do need to say the following. I was in a low place ( still am but feeling a little better) yesterday after my dad had succumbed to this ******* virus that’s impacting on us all. He’d passed in the early hours and not being there ( due to self-isolation) added to the blow. I was on my own for an hour or so yesterday so took to reading this board. I just felt that by posting something it could perk me up a bit. I couldn’t have been more right. The messages of condolences, best wishes and general words of comfort towards me and my family did me a power of good. This brings me to my next point. I have discussed, argued, exchanged pleasantries and often Unpleasantries on this board particularly about politics. When I looked at the names of all the posters a lot of them fall into the above categories, some I probably have never even posted to before. I would just like to say that each and everyone of these messages were equally received with the same thanks and gratitude. Take care Everyone and keep safe

Really sorry for your loss Tarntyke. There are many people on here who are much better with words and saying the right thing than I am but RIP to your dad, your description of him as a kind generous man shows the love you have for him and that is something that he will have been well aware of. Whether you were with him in person or not when he passed I am sure that he will have known you were with him in spirit
Losing a parent is tough pal but every day you will grow a little stronger.This is when family matters.Take care,it will get better I promise.
