A novel and innovative plan to reduce spending and rid the journeymen from our club and build a sustainable modern football club. It worked far too well and got us promoted with a squad of players that hit the ground running and challenged for the championship playoffs. We stuck to our principles and, unfortunately, lost a lot of players to wealthier clubs before we had a chance to renew contracts or reap the benefits of the players. We got relegated. Nevermind, onwards and upwards, and in Patrick’s memory we’ll go again next season. So a sincere thank you for the efforts of Patrick Cryne, and watch out Accrington Stanley. We’re coming for you!
