Hmm, decisions decisions. I've got a load of writing work I need to get on with. On the other hand...... Thinks for a few seconds......top up my tea, couple of chocolate biscuits, feet up and relive a great night of cup football. See you in a couple of hours
First half done. Then decided to do some work. Rest of it later. Have to say that for all the complaints about iFollow you cannot fault the video quality and I like the time line on the bottom that shows you where the goals, bookings and half time marker is. If only we could have Matt's commentary. Matt - any chance of that happening??
I'm half way through the Preston game. Should I abandon the second half and skip straight to the Derby match? Nope. Discipline!
Aswell as wanting the commentary (although I do quite enjoy crowd noise too), I'd like a timer on the screen. I know you can kind of work it out based on the goals and how long the video has been playing for but sometimes at the match I check the scoreboard clock to rewatch something at home later but now it's harder to find the exact time quickly.
Yes, a clock in the top corner would be good. I forgot to mention the other bits at the bottom as well - the rewind ten seconds, fast forward ten seconds and play in slow motion. All very good innovations and an improvement on previous efforts. All that is missing for me is the commentary.
I can't record the audio as I don't have iFollow access anymore - even if I could, the club aren't able to overdub as it's an automatic upload these days and they don't have the raw footage. BFC are in regular dialogue with NeuLion & the EFL, so let's hope that they start acting soon on the issues that their subscribers are highlighting.
Thanks for the reply Matt. I know I've asked this question before but it doesn't hurt to keep on highlighting things that aren't right about this new service. I hope you know that I've always been a big fan of Player coverage, both from your input and the video producers'. It's still good, no doubt about that, but there's room for improvement. I presume every club is in the same boat now (ie hostages to the external forces) so I imagine that fans all over the country are saying exactly the same things that we are. I'm not one to moan for the sake of it and I am grateful for the fact that I can go to a match on Tuesday night and it is there again to watch the following day. We all hated it when Radio Sheffield took over our match day coverage and that was put right. Maybe if enough people complain long enough and often enough we will get the same result
