There’s been a lot of negativity towards the directors on here lately.
But the signing of Gerhard Struber shows they are willing to work and wait to get the right people into the club.

There is an exponential learning curve going on at the club at the moment with these directors.
Clearly they (as most people did) thought that the new signings in the summer would be enough to establish the club in the Championship.
For the moment that has been found to be wrong.
But hindsight is a wonderful thing.
It’s going to be a while before these directors get a full grip of what is needed for success.
So let’s give them a bit of breathing space.

And no - I didn’t agree with the Stendel statement.
And I don’t agree with the silence strategy adopted by the club.
But other than that - I have little doubt that these directors will get it right.

We certainly need to get behind the new coaching regime and of course the team. I’m sure the level of criticisms aimed at the owners will subside in time if the results improve and we avoid relegation. I’m not so sure though they were being so naive in the summer, I think they just took a gamble and up to now it hasn’t worked

Just seen this Struber fella for 10 seconds on local news.... Jeez...

He's a Sunday League Manager... Buzzing at the 'opportunity'..... In reality, he hasn't got a f*ckin prayer

I think the shambles this season is more a case of misjudgement than malice.

January will confirm it either way.

Sorry Nudger, I disagree. If they had been trying, they would have done something to appease the fans regarding the silence/ stand off. Their "Trying" is more like "praying" that a gamble on a new manager is going to dig them out of this crap.
Until the management actually acknowledge the feelings of the fans, they haven't remotely "tried". As it stands they are carrying on regardless, with an element of disdain.

It’s all ******. The owners have employed a man who is best placed to improve their investments. When you’ve realised they don’t give a toss about anything else you might stop. Winning a few games of football of course might be a side product of the above if we are lucky

That’s the spirit but I must say my lad plays Sunday League and I can’t see them getting into the Europa League and drawing with Roma but I’ll take your word for it

My memory is not what it was, but IIRC "most people" were highly sceptical about the quality of summer signings. I don't remember anyone arguing that we would establish ourselves as a Championship club with a squad full of young lads.

Staying up this season would be a big start, but they have a long way to go before people will relax with them.

There's a transfer window to come yet, and they'll be judged on that.

Nudgers comment about them trying their best is correct. They want the club to be as financially successful as possible, otherwise why buy it?

I think they're flying by the arse of their pants. We don't know if Scooby was even their first choice.

I wouldn't even put it past them to sack him at the end of the season if we go down with a wimper.

I thought we would get easily beaten by Fulham on first day. The win came as a pleasant surprise to many.

Me too. Although now, with my cynical glasses on, it's easily dismissed as a fluke. We were up for it, they weren't; we got the rub of the green, etc, etc.
