The former Barnet full back knocked the ball past him and he just dived headlong to block his run. Free kick given, reds fans scream for a booking but their player rolls about on floor and eventually leaves the field. No card given. Farcical, as was the linesman on this side of the pitch, seemed to miss everything. Bloke behind me was going mad.
Unless your a big team these things happen. How many penalties should we have had this year, but ref and/or linesman had a moment of blindness.
Remember when Bamba conned the ref with similar tickets at Oakwell possibly last season? Similar tactics. They need to be more switch on to it. Bamba should have been a red too and Warnock subbed him off.
When the former Barnet full back goes on to play in the Premier League will he become the former Barnsley full back or will he remain tainted as the former Barnet full back?
Had Radio Norfolk on in one ear and even their biased local expert summariser, a French guy Cedric somebody, said that it was a red and the Norwich player was vuri, vuri, lur-ki.
You’ve got to give it to Neil Warnock, he had a sub ready to go as soon as Bamba made that challenge Sneaky old git, but he’s great at it
Same ref by the way, Scott Duncan. And don't even mention the shambolic performance of Mike D**n in the Leeds game (see he was at it again yesterday, making stuff up). Surely this week's two whistle-blowers can't be as bad as their counterparts from last year's games, can they (rhetorical)?!
Completely bizarre wasn't it? I didn't even consider that Bamba wouldn't be shown a red card, so blatant was the foul. Waited and waited for the ref to show it, before it slowly dawned on me he was going to allow the sub to come on. Absolutely unfathomable.
I thought the ref had got a card out (yellow) and then had to call their physio on, after which he put the card away!
