The Good: Simoes and Oduor. They're raw, they look like they're in the 5th form they're that young (Year 11 in newspeak) but Simoes' pace and aggression, and Oduor's skill are just a joy. They'll get things wrong, but they'll get thing right too and they'll run their hearts out and it's great to watch them play. The bad: Schmidt and Bahre. Like Simoes and Oduor they'll get things wrong. I can live with that. But they can go through an entire game without breaking sweat or getting their shorts dirty. Without a single worthwhile contribution. Without any presence on the game what-so-ever. A team cannot carry such players. It's horrible watching them play. It's frustrating and infuriating and depressing. We have players not making the bench who will try, who will get involved, who will give their best, who will make mistakes, sure, but no more than these two, and will have a positive effect on the game. The Ugly: Andersen and Diaby: You could inject these two with lethal doses of dysentery and the norovirus, feed them plateful after plateful of festering, putrid, salmonella infested vindaloo and neither could mark their undercrackers. There's a player in Diaby. There may even be one in Andersen. But they're not ready for this. They can't do it. We've been getting away with it recently but the errors have still been there. They need taking out of this and coaching. We can't continue to play defenders who don't know how to defend.
Good post, same as what I watched today never been a bahre fan that's the 2nd time he has been dragged off before 30minutes and he has to ask himself why. Never known a player go missing so easily and offer so little to the team. Didnt like the little strop either and throwing the black armband.
Bahre didn`t look up for that one bit first ten minutes he strolled around and next 15 he was losing possession but did try to win it back. Seems as though if we aint going forward he does not want to know and leaves his team mates with 2 running at them. Poor showing yet again, cant afford to start with strollers.
I wish I had watched Dracula now. That was absolutely rubbish, what’s happened to the decent football what they have been playing over the holiday period. That was boys against men.I can count on one hand the headers we won,we were 2nd to every ball, the passing was atrocious, and there is no way on gods earth that that Derby player should have passed that ball for their 2nd goal. What the hell was Mowett doing,at the very least wipe him out,and then to top it all,it went through 4 Barnsley players. When we had the ball, why doesn’t the player look up and see what his best option is.The amount of times in the middle of the park we passed the ball back into a pack of players when we had someone screaming for it on the wing in acres of room.Say what you want about Rooney, but look at the passes he was spraying about to the wings which by the way their 2nd goal came from. The only player for me to come out of that crap was Radlinger. Not much he could do about the goals, but it could have been a drubbing if it was not for him.9 out of 10 for him,the rest 3.
Totally agree with all this. Diarby and Andersen would have flourished in league 1 the same way Mawson and Roberts did. Their shortcomings wouldn’t have been punished giving them chance to develop. Unfortunately the championship is a different world and the amount of money being pumped in is unsustainable. Even without Rooney I’d suggest Derby have a couple of players earning more than the Barnsley starting 11 last night. Finances aside, It’s not a place to be blooding this many youngsters together. Everyone says that Brentford can do it so why can’t we? Yes they have a similar youth policy but look at their experienced players to help the youngsters along.
Reading their posts and it seems as though Pinnock is flourishing. They got pontus janson that helped Leeds to top 6 and we get Halme and Odour that barely played for the first team, it's a bigood difference.
