The club have asked if we can surf the Patrick Cryne flag along the East Stand Lower today before the game, when the past players are on the pitch. I've got full permission from the club to do this, but a minor snag is that I'm in Germany. I'm therefore trying to get a team together to do it - can anyone help?

Please note this will be in the East Stand Lower only, not the Ponty, as something else is planned for there. Please post on here or PM me if you want to get involved.

    Thanks all.

Why do u not leave the flag in redfearns or in club shop store room instead of traipsing abart with it if its so heavy.

We often take it to away matches, so we can't leave it in any one place. It usually lives in my car boot or garden shed. It's currently in position in the West Stand, although it may be moved if we can get this surfing thing going.

Update: All sorted now, the flag will surf from the corner of the East Stand and Ponty, towards the away end, just before kick off. Thanks for the offers of help. What could possibly go wrong............?

Update: The flag got torn a bit in one corner in the night after the Derby game, when the storm hit. We'd left it in place in readiness for today's game. Would everyone in the East Stand Lower please bring a sewing machine this aft. Thanks.

Everyone does one stitch as it comes past, it should be good by the time it gets to the other end.
