Infact I take everything I said about the owners back.

Keep the premier league. I’d rather be in the championship or league one over that anyway of the week. VAR has ruined premier league football. Wether they’re getting decisions right or not it takes away that enjoyment of football for me.

I mean imagine as a fan scoring a goal like Chelsea have just done jumping around like a mad man only for the goal to get ruled out for millimetres.

If VAR came into games at our level I’d seriously consider attending football matches as often as I do. It’s rubbish and killing the game in my opinion.

I thought it was brilliant & exactly what it should be used for.

Defence did their jobs superbly & weren’t punished incorrectly for a poor offside call

I fully agree that it is the correct decision and if they are going to use it those are situations that it should only be used. When it’s black or white.

But thinking as a fan it’s bloody awful. I’ve witnessed it live and it really is a shambles. It’s taking away why we all love football, those talking points. Those bits of luck. Chelsea still had to work for that goal. They didn’t score that goal because mounts left foot was offside. I’m not sure mate, personally I’d hate it not being able to celebrate properly not knowing what’s coming next.

But look at it the other way, them Liverpool fans erupted when the decision was announced so whilst it’s **** for one side it’s great for the other.

Imagine we’re beating Wednesday & they score to equalise & then the division gets reversed we’d be celebrating it like a goal

You know full well that won’t happen. What you’ve just said is the most extreme circumstances. It’s not the same celebrating a decision for you than it is a goal.

VAR doesn’t add anything for the supporters value to a game of football. VAR is all about take rather than give. Don’t like it don’t think I ever will.

Well it doesn’t have to be Wednesday it could be any team. Liverpool fans were all out of their seats then celebrating it like they scored so it does happen.

Could have done with VAR for that Liverpool game in premier league

We could’ve done with VAR for a number of games over the years :D

But then again it wouldn’t be the same still being in the prem so I’m glad we didn’t have it.

VAR vs Leeds would have been interesting. If we'd scored first, could well have been a different result.

Against Leeds? Where would VAR have benefitted us against them?

We have goal line technology. The ref looked at his watch, I don’t believe it crossed the line.

If some VAR decisions are so hard to call then they should.go down the cricket.route and have umpires call.

When VAR was on the launching pad it was touted as something that would correct “Clear and Obvious Errors by the Officials “. Now it is being used to to “correct “ errors that no human could ever hope to see. Another thing that concerns me greatly is that it seems as though some of the recent changes to the rules are to accommodate VAR. Ie any hand ball by a defender is a pen and likewise goals disallowed for the same by the attackers. The tail is wagging the dog, or so it seems to me

Agree. If it was used to correct clear and obvious errors then I'd reluctantly stomach it. But watching motd yesterday an obvious penalty that wasn't given was not challenged whilst they spent 3 minutes with a slide rule working out an offside. When they showed it on screen, you literally couldn't tell one way or the other. No-one wants to see that. They want to see fouls in the box given as penalties and dives ruled out. Otherwise, don't effing bother.

VAR was used correctly to change a wrong decision. I don't see the problem with that. All it's done is stopped Liverpool fans whinging about the officials on their forums because they actually didn't get penalised from an original wrong decision.

Or hristovs sending off at Leeds when he knew no foul and abusive language. Or de canio throwing ball at linesman then scoring the winner. Or Neville’s assault on liddle, or shearer pillocking morgan. Etc. We took some good hidings that year aided by Wilson not being brave enough from the off but we were also cheated in more ways than I can remember. Good laugh though but very expensive.

Bolton would have stayed up that season had there been VAR.

Can't remember the game or the player but they should have had a goal awarded when ball crossed the line and all the officials missed it.
