Then that situation would be understandable.
But can anyone really believe that this has actually been stipulated?
That is to say - the potential new owners have said to Patrick - we don't want any media releases - even to the extent of letting the fans know that negotiations are on going.

This is a trend since Patrick took over at the club - tell the supporters nowt!!!
Although Ben Mansford tended to break that mould.

It wouldn't take much - just a few lines - that's all whats needed.
But I'll not hold mi breath.

 

I can defiantly believe that a full media blackout is stipulated. At the end of the day, it's in the buyers interests to keep things quiet so not to attract rival bids(however unlikely that would be), and obviously P.C. knows he needs to sell, so would agree to make the transaction smoother.

I think at this point, we have to assume that such a clause is in place, hence the lack of updates.

 

Apparently French Company AXA agreed to sell its UK investment, pensions and insurance business
Sun Life, to U.K. Insurers Phoenix in May 2016 for £375 million.
A total of 910,000 policies and £12.3 billion of customer assets were involved.

As a customer of Sun Life, you would have thought that I would as a matter of courtesy been
told of this sale. Sixteen months after the deal, I have now received a letter from Sun Life informing
me of the transfer to Phoenix. I have not received any welcoming letter or information pack from Phoenix.
That demonstrates that nothing can be said officially until the deal is legally concluded and signed contracts are exchanged.

I personally have absolutely no doubts that the transfer of Barnsley FC from Patrick Cryne/BMBC to Messrs Lee/Conway is well advanced. It's just a case of being patient, until contracts are exchanged and any official press announcement
is finally made.

 

1) You have spouted quite a bit about what should happen, but yet have no knowledge of what happens during takeover talks so are trying to pass off your own personal requests as knowledge of what should happen

2) Most businesses rely on thousands if not millions of ordinary people to support that business in order for it to be a success. Being a football club is of no relevance whatsoever to your argument.

3) If Microsoft were in negotiations to takeover Apple would you expect them to send emails to everyone who owns a laptop or a ipad to inform them what was happening or do you think it would be business as usual until a deal was done.

If a takeover is to happen then nothing will be announced until its completed or collapses no matter how much bairning tha does about it
