Teams will be aware of our new financial situation and start demanding stupid money for players that we won't pay. The scouting will be exactly the same too.

I think it's more likely to affect the wages demanded than transfer fees. We knew Villa had shedloads of money last January, but it didn't help us get anywhere near market value for Hourihane. He did alright with his contract though.

To be fair he was in the last 6 months of his contract, I didn't think 3 million was that bad considering the situation. Now with Winnall on the other hand, we were robbed by the Wendies.

I'm not sure it will. Most of the clubs we will be buying players off will be in the same finacial position we were in and will be despirate for cash.

That's very true. But as far as I'm aware the main difference between the rich clubs and the poorer clubs is in wages paid rather than transfer fees. Plus the main reason Connor left was definitely for better wages. It sure as hell wasn't for footballing reasons, no matter what he claimed.

It may also be the case that all agreements are already in place.

The club with the money has the power in this situation - as we know only too well.
