I can’t go along with this idea that the takeovers more important than our manager as we’ve no guarantees they’d treat the club properly.

I’d like to think otherwise but for all we know we could be a feeder club for Nice.

The takeover could be a good thing but it could also be a dreadful thing. None of us know

Just ‘a foreign coach’? No names?

How much recruitment are we actually going to be doing in the next 18 months?

We’ve got pretty much 2 players for every position, most on 2-3 year contracts with only a couple of loanees.

We’ve had our big recruitment drive. We probably won’t be having another window like that for at least another 3 windows so it baffles me why we’d sign a foreign coach with no experience of the league who won’t be able to bring in lots of players

In one aspect the takeover is important and that is that if those taking over can't see that the biggest asset the club has and the one most likely to ensure the value of their investment going forward is Hecky then they are probably the wrong people to be taking over.

If they are prepared to even countenance losing the main thing that keeps us afloat in this division to an operationally bankrupt club that is currently floundering like a beached whale and nailing one of the relegation spots that most uninformed outsiders thought would be ours, then they are probably the wrong people to be taking over.

Let's not go overboard like. There are many capable managers out there. The Club isn't going to implode if Hecky leaves. Personally I would give it Bobby Hassell. Continuity. Plus bonus laughs for Hemsy's reaction.

What was the last 'capable' manager we had prior to Hecky??
Bobby could be fantastic, or awful, we just don't know.
We simply can't get away from the fact that Hecky is the manager suited to us & the best candidate for the job at this moment, to says otherwise is daft.

We're all missing Hemsys real point, which is to tell us he's going to Norwich.

Agree with all of that (apart from the last bit, which i'm pretty sure I didn't say). However I have huge respect for Hecky, both as a person and everything he's done for us. For me, what he wants comes before anything else. If he backs himself to succeed at Sunderland and wants to give it a crack, that's good enough for me. If he decides to stay, brilliant.

Hecky's done a brilliant job. He's made mistakes but for someone so new to management they've not been major ones. I'm not going to list all the good things he's done and the esteem he's held in. We all know that.
Both he and the takeover are vital to the club.
The takeover might or might not happen.
Hecky IS going to leave at some point. I'd say if the takeover doesn't happen he'll be leaving sooner rather than later because someone will come along and offer him a salary he won't be able to turn down.

The same Bayern who have drawn against Hertha Berlin and Werder Bremen while losing at Hoffenheim?

And the same Real Madrid who have lost against Girona and Real Betis while further dropping points against Valencia and Levante?

In the 42 years i’ve Regularly followed this club (i’ve Been to Norwich five times) I can honestly say that PH is, by some distance the best coach we’ve ever had. The way in which he manages players, promotes the club and continues to develop professionally is a joy to see. I’m also hugely impressed by the way he deals with the media (speaking in English and using proper sentences is very underrated). The way he has conducted himself when it looked like the Club was trying to allianate it’s support and destroy the trust and optimism that had been built up through 2016 was exemplary. And, to cap it all, he has taken another group of players who, in August looked, how can I put this...limited...and turned them into a coherent unit, defies belief.

All in all I have to say.....he’s quite good.
P.s did I mention i’d Been to Norwich once or twice!

If Hecky leaves - it means that Chien Lee hasn't contacted Hecky and so from that we can deduce that he wants his own people in.
That will mean a new manager with his own backroom staff.
If Hecky goes they all are likely to go.
    That will include Hassall.

It doesn’t ‘mean’ anything of the sort. Why such ill-informed speculation? You know nothing more than any of us.
