I like both isgrove and hedges clearly both talented players. But I think I’d be looking at moving both on, neither have been reliable options for the team given their continuous injuries.

Genuine question , how do you move players on in a loan window when they are injured ?

    I don’t mean now.

But hedges is up at the end of the year, I wouldn’t renew his deal personally.

And in either January or summer I would allow isgrove to leave

Catch 22 with Isgrove , if he is to be moved on in january he has to be fit, but if he is fit then surely he would bring something to our matchday squad .

I’m beginning to think it’s time to give up on Isgrove, his injury records appalling & whilst there’s plenty of hard work I don’t see much star quality.

I wouldn’t give up on Hedges, I think he’s got some serious talent

I wouldn’t give up on either. They’ve both struggled with injuries recently, but Isgrove was hardly injury prone while on loan. Both could be brilliant L1 players in the system we play.

Would rather we support them best we can. It’s not like they want to be injured and we can’t sell injured players.

Agree with you , get these two fit & it would be like signing two new players & we all know how valuable Isgrove was last time we were in this league, plus Hedges showed enough before, to think he will do well for us this season .

It just seems that loan spell was the exception, he’s barely played any games in his career & I think he’s 24ish now.

If were going to be honest, Isgrove had 2 good games in his loan spell but his popularity got carried along with our promotion charge. Cant think of too many also since he signed permanent. Needs to up his game does lad.

@Darfield-Red - any movement on this one that you can speak of?

Had way more than 2 good games in his loan spell. He started badly but so did rest of the team but when the team started clicking after Christmas he was a pivotal player for us IMO.

I will admit that since he’s come back to us it hasn’t gone great with him as he’s always injured or not fit. I blame Claud Puel for not allowing him to sign for us the first season back in Championship, he was basically kept to play bairns football for a year and it’s effected him really badly.

I would not give up on him yet as there is still a good player there plus I think in hindsight we probably gave up on Ryan Williams too early who was in a similar situation to Izzy but is now an important player for Rotherham.

Fair opinion but not for me. He had a stinker against Chesterfield at home with 4 or 5 games to go in the play off season which resulted in him being subbed at half time. Not saying there isnt a player in there but it needs to come out very soon.

Maybe Moncur just needs to change his name to Isgrove to get all the haters off his back.

I don't think he's been involved in any of their games this season. So i'd say there's a chance he's joining. Hope so anyway.

Hope he’s better than that other winger from German that we got - who was English
