Interesting how someone mentions Heckys role in taking us from bottom of league one to playoffs, and some wag says it's totally Different to managing such a "monster".

What he doesn't realise is that those league one players did far better at this level than Sunderland are currently doing.

They might be a big club, but they're absolutely ***** and in danger of going straight through this league, and they still think they can attract top managers?

They don't deserve someone like Hecky. Hope he turns them down and they drop another division. . . . At least.

Hecky is far too good for a club like Sunderland.
If / when he leaves he will be aiming for something higher than that.

You would be hard pressed to find anybody outside their boundaries who thinks they are a monster. They make the Wednesday fans seem like they have a grasp on reality.
    Just another crap club
    with a big ground.

To be fair a lot of them are saying that it's a thankless job that Hecky would do well to steer clear of as it could ruin his career.

According to the latest news , the Sunderland hierarchy are targeting Michael O"niel as their prime target. Every time you read a report, the goalposts seem to move

I don’t think they know who to go for, their 1st choice & 2nd choice in Kranka & McCoist have turned them down.
If they get this one wrong they face back to back relegation & almost certain bankruptcy.
Let’s hope Hecky has said no too, which is why he’s no longer the no 1 target.
Papers are shocking at creating stories, but it is an anxious time.

Are Sunderland after a "head coach" or a "manager"?
