This latest police shooting

I know if I was surrounded by armed cops shouting for me to get on the ground I’d be kissing earth pretty sharpish.
In America parents talk about giving their kids “the talk” which isn’t about the birds and the bees it’s about how not to give the cops an excuse to shoot you, this guy clearly didn’t get the memo.

 

To not give the cops an excuse to shoot you ? That really is one feked country.

 

Unarmed innocent people are shot dead though, like that guy on the tube, the Scottish guy carrying a chair leg, shot in the back.
This guy, no doubt a criminal, looks like police just wanted him dead?

They are shot dead, and everytime a bullet is discharged in this country a full investigation is conducted. My old boss leads such investigations and if its proved its police fault and potentially criminal he'll throw the boot at them. I'm biased but we have the best armed officers in the world. The training they go through is unreal. The SY firearms team are cracking people, lovely people with a job that may need them to take a life. The trigger isn't pulled in this country unless its necessary.

The post 7/7 tube incident I've explained in length, it was the perfect storm.

 

To be fair he shot a convicted paedophile who was chasing him through a parking lot. I mean though, chasing someone who’s clearly carrying an AR-15 seems like a really bad idea. The reason he wasn’t shot by the police is they did not witness him shooting anyone, at no point did he threaten the police or point his gun at them, given the open carry gun laws in the state, they had no reason to arrest him.

From the site I used, the point was being made that it was not an all-out onslaught by cops on black men, as is sometimes claimed.

 

We’ll try not to fight ‘what is sometimes claimed’ .

you’d have to be stupid to believe that a badly trained armed police force ‘only’ kills black people. But likewise, you’d have to be stupid to believe that same police force in a country that’s institutionally racist wouldn’t be more likely to kill black people.

 

Seems like the "all lives matter" brigade don't actually mean all lives after all. Just waiting for "institutional racism isn't a thing" and I can call Bingo!

 

Likewise there are a lot of people who believe sex offenders should be put to death who are now crying that a sex offender has been killed after pulling a knife on police.

Can't have it both ways
