    Funny as.

And somehow appropriate: Wednesday always the bridesmaid but never the bride!

Haha marvellous. Will share that on the Gills page. Everyone there needs a bit of cheering up and we still love Brucie.

Chin up, Sam. If Eaves stays fit and on form, I can't see you going down. Then, in the Summer, your club can reorganise and push onwards and upwards.

Cheers. There’s a growing number of fans suggesting that we’d actually be better off without Eaves, because we tend to just play long ball with him in the team. The way Barnsley play with Moore shows that you can play decent football with a big man, but for some reason we only do it when Eaves is out. Our win ratio without him is surprisingly good!

What could do for us is the news that the skipper Zakuani is out for the season with the injury he suffered in the clash with Kieffer Moore. We’ve really got no cover at centre-back.
Incidentally, great to see that Moore’s injury doesn’t appear as serious as feared. Enjoy the rest of the season - should be a special one.

Can I ask what Zakuani's injury is? He obviously limped off and then was on cructhes, but did he land funny? Was hard to see what contact was made, and you can imagine we were all focussed on Moore.

Yeah you’re spot on - ankle ligaments as he landed. Thankfully not a break as first feared but rest of the season out.
They clashed heads badly, but Gabs obviously was lucky it was his forehead whilst Moore’s was his temple and he was out cold immediately. My initial fear was for Moore’s neck or spine from the awful way he landed. Hope he’s back for you soon - either against Accrington or Walsall would be perfect cheers ;-)
