Absolutely gutted to learn that This Week will be cancelled at the end of this current series. I don't watch a lot of tele but I love this show and in my humble opinion it is one of the best shows on the TV.

I've watched it since it started about fifteen years ago and will really miss it when it goes.

Just thought I'd share this in case there are any This Week fans on here who haven't already heard the news.

Always watch the introduction as Andrew Neil can be very funny and cutting and generally bang on the money. Best political commentator on telly by some distance imo.

But by the time its on the wife has usually gone to bed whilst I have stayed up with the best of intentions of watching it. However I very rarely get much past the first 'take of the week' before I am horizontal on the settee exhaling zzzzzz's

While I'm sad to see a political programme go I'm glad that Andrew Neil will no longer be able to utilise the national broadcaster to air his trumpesque views whilst trying to claim impartiality.

That was a very memorable episode. The look of abject misery on his face didn't change despite the ridiculous dancing.

I can't agree. Neil, despite his personal political views, is equally savage with the left and the right. As an interviewer he is impartial and as DSL says is the best in the business.

Its time it went as well. Its all about Neil, his inflated ego and dire sense of humour. Prefer Jo Coburn myself.

I like to watch it but I'm not keen on them 2 muppets Statler and Waldorf (Michael "choo choo" Portillo and Alan "sad man" Johnston) 2 men pinching money.

Trouble with Jo Coburn for me, is she asks a question, then before the respondent can answer
in full, she interrupts to make her own view known. Sometimes comes over as being very rude.

I think that's what Neil does, but she is not as aggressive.

I used to watch it quite a bit, following on from Question Time. I've really got out of watching any live TV now & rarely watch Question Time, as it is currently the same subject every week & it does my head in, hence not seeing it. Tend to listen to radio 4 early in the morning for news. I stick it on about an hour before I get up.
