Thought club would be promoting the new CEO today

All we got was a picture of Angus MacDonald looking like he wanted to be anywhere but having to wear the new Kit.

 

There's also a terrible 3D image of it.

Whats to promote?

 

The excitement levels reached a new level when that one rotated around.

 

Very busy I'm afraid. It's tricky isn't it? I mean, some of you would prefer he was doing media stuff and others would prefer him to be cracking on with the job.

But as I said recently, we intend to have a sit down with Gauthier for iFollow as soon as the chance arises.

The Media teams role is to get the club into the Media. Kit launch's a bit thing. You don't like it when I mention the bigger clubs but when they launch the kit everyone knows about it.

Can you not see everything through rose tinted specs? Kit coming out late, no explanation, new CEO arrives but not even a mention on the wires. Hardly keeping the paying public informed and interested enough to buy season tickets.

The launch of the home kit was fine. I'm not sure what you were expecting and neither do I dislike you mentioning bigger clubs. Because, the word 'bigger' is key.

I know the club needs criticising on they way part of it is run, but the media side of things? I think its the best it's ever been while I've supported the club.

Like SuperTyke, I'm also trying to work out what kit has been released late? The home kit has come out at roughly the same time everyone else's has. and the away will be released on or around open day, like it has for more that 20 years. Where is the issue?

And I still don't get what needs promoting about a new CEO? It's not like it's a big money signing that will make sure we have an arse every 18 inches at Oakwell, is it? He's a bloke who will be in charge of the day to day running of the business side...

Hate to say it Hammsy lad, but your sudden dislike for the clubs media team absolutely stinks of jealousy that the lad Whitey has been given the opportunity to work for the club...

 

It's just poor SuperTyke. It really is. I've just looked at ROTHERHAM's IFollow and okay they have split off an Interview into multiple but you can see they are keeping their fans upto date.

In 3 1/2 week on player/ Ifollow we've had a Play off Glory video and someone painting the stand with what looks like the same video's on youtube and an Advert for Mitre.

We are been outdone by Rotherham here.

 

He is somewhere else. He's in Mexico.

 

In my opinion, they can out do us by making 1,000,000 hours of video a day, as I have absolutely no interest in watching anything about Rotherham United, and I find it strange that you, a supposedly young, dedicated travelling Barnsley fan have...

The kit hasn't been released late. Therefore there is nothing to explain.

CEO appointment was announced two weeks ago. He did press at that time in the local paper. At present he's hard at work but as has been said previously, when the chance arises he will do further media stuff.

All I'm doing is comparing a Sky Bet Championship club to a Sket Bet League one club and highlighting what one club's done to what another clubs not.

A long time ago I complained about it at the time. It was a time when we didn't get full game highlights and whatever. Sheffield United did at the time so I compared us and them and got a PM back saying Thanks for pointing it out and it was something the club were looking at doing.

 

Really. He's too busy to take for an hour to get his message out about the club. That's not great to hear.

 

Go n then do a comparison between us and ALL other clubs rather than finding the club who beats us on one issue.

By the way I'm glad our media team have focused on producing a website that doesn't look like you have created it with your ****. Beats Rotherham's hands down

 

In the real world people with jobs tend to get a bit busy

 

So you would rather the club put out videos for the sake of it? We have signed one player, and extended a few young un's deals. It's hardly going to make Oscar winning viewing is it?

Think your self lucky you have a web site that you can go on to catch up with the club. Many of us had to put up with either waiting for the Chronicle to com out, or spend a fortune on ClubCall to find out what was going off..
