Yes, clearly the most important thing on the CEO's first day is to put out another interview. You do talk some ******.

You put some f*cking barmy stuff on here at times, but I think this tops it all. You need to get another hobby, or a life.

Not being harsh but you need to find summat more social or productive to fill your time Hemmsy. Time slips away faster than you think and no-one turns 40/50/60 and thinks "fvck, I wish I'd spent more time watching Arsenal's YouTube channel and posting on a message board about hypothetical sponsorship deals"

I actually think Angus has gone for the smouldering 'bad boy' look. And it works. *swoon.

Me putting my psychologists head on for a mo ........ I think we can see the underlying issue here in the above sentence. The patient has tried desperately via numerous posts over a number of years not to be a 'kiss ass'. He sees this as a weakness, and being a 'kiss ass' is a fear to him. He finds it hard to agree with anyone, as this would fuel his inner fear. This leads to him seldom responding to posts, but instead creating his own; these being in the main unfriendly, provocative, ill-conceived and sometimes downright nasty, especially towards those people, teams or places that other posters treasure. This is not limited to BFC players, but the boundaries stretch to YCCC (Bresnan an example) and international teams. Stones is an obvious target; Kane is the new England hero and must be sh1tting bricks that he is the next in line for Hemmsy's ill-conceived vitriol.
Hemmsy wants to be accepted, even if it appears the opposite is true. He can't (or won't) be a 'kiss ass'. Neither will he be a 'cuddly' poster in the Big Lil ilk. Nor humorous, in the style of some popular posters, or even pleasant and witty like my goodself :) He seems to lack the intelligence to be taken seriously like Jay, etc. My assessment is that he strives to be a Young Nudger and possibly has posters of the same on his bedroom wall. In between Chelsea U19s and Man City 2017 squad photos.
My diagnosis is that he goes out and gets laid, either with a young lady, or a young boy. Not fussed, just get it out of his system. Then go out for a couple of beers - no need to get pie-eyed - but maybe a couple of pubs in town pre-match would enable him to take in what others think. He doesn't need to agree, he just needs to take it in.
He finally needs to investigate where his true allegiances lay. Is he really a Barnsley fan? Or is it somewhere he goes out of loyalty to family? If he doesn't enjoy it, then maybe his wide knowledge of the game (there is some there) could be developed into a deeper knowledge by maybe travelling to other clubs, blogging, writing, youth football, international football, the ladies game .............. only then may he find an allegiance which is true to his own beliefs and close to his heart. My honest belief is that will be in South London.
But let yourself go lad. This persona is not working for you. Come out of yourself. FLY, LAD....... FLY.

As Andy Mac said, hemsie does seem to be more interested in the top league which he has pointed out on quite a lot of occasions, but his family go and watch Barnsley FC so he goes with them.

Or in my day when the players and manger ****** off at the end of the season and you didn't see them again until the start next season. You may have the occasional picture of a new signing on the back page of the Chron.

You spent half the first game trying to work out who the players were!

Remember the old bloke that sat near me in the promotion season convinced that Matty Appleby was Charlie Bishop. It was about three months into the season before he clicked on.

And I was talking to my son the other day(who's 13) about how excited I was when I picked up the Chron one Friday morning to see we had signed a random Dutch defender(in the days when foreign players at Oakwell seemed like a dream) called De Zeeuw, and we couldn't wait to see what this exotic foreign player was like(and how we pronounced his name!) The younger fans all expect every single bit of information to be communicated immediately due to them being brought up in a world where they can find almost anything out at the touch of a button...

Saying that though, I'm glad the ClubCall system has gone, as I don't think my wallet could have coped!

Only half? Even these days it takes me a good 2 or 3 games to figure out who's who. Back in those days I only just figured everyone out before they left.

Not just that, they could see the obvious branding he's wearing and think 'he'd look good in our stuff, let's pay Barnsley to get their players kitted out in our stuff'. No-one would be put off with what he's wearing before any exclusivity deal takes place as they'd quite rightly understand that they haven't paid him to advertise their stuff.
