    Carabao Cup Round 1 - Barnsley FC v Morecambe FC Tuesday 8th August 2017, kick off 7.45pm. Tickets on sale now.

    Tickets are sold as unreserved seating in the Investment Room East Upper and Lower, CK Beckett South Stand and CK Beckett Family area only. Paper tickets will be issued for this fixture, the add access to card facility is not available.

    I haven't done any this year either in a money saving exercise but I've realised that I have to miss the Sunderland and the Notts Forest home games through a combination of bad planning and inconsiderate friends ;) so I'll be going to this one.

    If I still lived in Barnsley or we didn't usually crash out to lower league opposition I probably would, as it stands though no.

    On a slightly pessimistic note, have we ever got further than the 4th or 5th round of the League Cup? I can only remember back 15 years or so but I can only ever remember us getting tonked out early on, except in 2009 (I think) when we went out to Man United in the 4th(?) round.

    I will be there, not sure if in Home or Away end mind, if away will be wearing Barnsley shirt......confused the stewards last time but as a Morecambe s/t holder I had a great excuse, and the Morecambe fans found it amusing.....esp towards the end!!!!!!!!!

    You must be aware of the great run in 1981 surely. Beat Swansea, Brighton and Man City of the First Division then lost to Liverpool after a replay (5th round).

    I am, Trevor Aylott's header vs City in front of a packed Ponty end. What a night that must've been.

    Apparently we've never got further than the QF, which we reached once way back when. How nice it'd be to change that this season :cool:
