If like me you are lucky enough to live in a Tier 2 area and can find an open pub or restaurant to go to with the Mrs you will be delighted to know that in the interests of protecting me the goverment has decided I cant have a glass of port or whisky with my coffee Are the ministers taking dares as to who can come up with the stupidist idea to get in to the legislation
its easy to get round... dont finish your side salad off. but yes its ******** and still people support it.
Maybe its to stop people taking the piss by going in for a meal and still be in drinking 3 hours later, because im pretty sure their will be many who try it on
I have never been to a bar or restaurant where I have been limited to the number of drinks I can have after my meal....I go out for food to have a relax and enjoy it, not in out wallop.......they are just trying to treat us like children. As DEETEE said (and I suggested at our local) side salad with every meal....just eat it at your own pace
Depends if you think spending 3 hours nibbling on the same plate of food while knocking back 8 pints is deemed acceptable
Be very interesting to see how many MP's vote against the Governments Covid Tier classifications when the vote is held in the House of Commons next week. Early indications are that several Tory MP's are feeling extremely aggrieved. Prior to the latest rankings, some Southern areas were in Tier 2 and although the infection levels in their areas have reduced , when the lockdown ends on 2 nd December, their constituencies have now been placed in Tier 3. I still think that in some way, the Government has bowed to external pressure by agreeing to relax the rules over the five day period during Xmas and the overall effect could well see a disturbing rise in the number of new cases, which will no doubt put further pressures on the NHS.
It doesnt actually say in the article that their is a time limit, just that you have to leave when you have finished. Its ****. The past few months have been ****, but whether people agree or not, if everyone would just respect whatever rules we are being set we might just get out of this **** storm a bit quicker.
Agreed. However if the government was serious about getting us out of this it wouldn't be going for a 5 day free for all that will see the virus rip through the country again.
Why would they want to do that? By kicking people out quicker you're increasing the number of different people and interactions in the place. Plus it incentivises people to split a pizza at one place and then go to another place afterwards and do the same again! It's beyond stupid on every level, a rule for the sake of it.
Dont disagree, and its not the only ****** idea they have come up with. But theres also a portion of the general public who need to ditch the 'fvck it, im doing what i want' attitude aswell .Thats why i dont particularly disagree with the article in the original post because people will try and take the ****
Is this thread for real ? They are the guidance/ rules and idiots flaunting the rules why we ended up back in lockdown and with the highest death rate in Europe. But remember if you put your head in a gas oven or get shot in a drive by shooting your death will go down as Covid according to some!
Then why are the government allowing us to flout all rules for five days at the end of December? That will surely put us back in lockdown.
All what happens is people meet up at say the garrison for a beer or two and a basket of chicken. Watch them game. Get cans and head off to a house party. All they did for a ten Pm curfew was exactly the same less chicken. Be better off opening pubs and clubs. ******* off the mask and table service restrictions and letting each business and customers run at their own risk. You can 'safely' get another half a dozen in the 7 or the arcade ale house with a bit of creativity. You want to go to a crammed sweaty fleshpot til 5am its your call. Its unlikely that youll be any more of a risk 'killing granny*' as you would be giving her a hug or sharing the tatty spoon. *unless shes in hospital or a care home.
