Probably not the daftest idea and may be a small reason why the club wouldn't splash out a load of cash on a new main stand - if money wasn't an issue I'd build it a few hundred yards to the north east where the brewery was then build in access from both Pontefract Road and from around where the retail park is on Harborough Hills.

Not a bad idea, using parts of the current ground obviously.

Had just knock it down and put bourding up then use it for more parking. Could leave bottom tier for safe standing

Tbh if you look at the stands during a game such as Wigan etc .there isn't a compelling case to keep it.
It's the last to sell out especially the lower tier.
I'd say get a sponsor in if clubs not gonna invest whilst we're doing OK cos as soon as we have a dip, interest if there is any will not be there.

I know your comment was tongue in cheek but there are a lot of facilities in there that would need to be moved elsewhere, I had a tour a few years ago before a match when I was in exec suite and going underneath you realise that it's the main hive of activity before a game (apart from the changing rooms), it was very busy.

Probably a big reason why nothing has been done with it because where does the media sit and where do the cameras go if that stand isn't there? You can't build a new stand at the end of the season and expect it to be done in a couple of months, it would probably take the best part of a year to complete.
