My TiVo box is never more than 50% full but it will only record programmes in random numbers. For example it will record 54 episodes of Family Guy and 25 episodes of Auf Wiedersehen Pet. Once it's reached its limit it starts deleting the older recordings. Is their any way I can get it to keep recording until the box is full?

    Thanks.

    Hi Conan.
You need to go to "My Shows and Recordings"
Select the programme you are interested in and scroll down to "Manage Series Link"
You should see the title " Series Link+Options"
Under the heading " Keep at Most" press the right hand button at the side of the pause button ( yellow in colour).
When it shows "all recordings" press to save that option.
Then scroll down to " Keep until". Again using the right hand button press until you see " Until I delete".

The reason you are losing recordings at present is that it is set to save only 25 and 50 episodes respectively.
So what it's doing is deleting programmes in accordance with the present setting thresholds.

If you go into " My Shows" at the end of the menu there is an option " Recently deleted programmes".
Click on the programme you want and it will give you an option to recover it. Once you've done that it will be stored back in your " My Shows" list. You can then go through the process above to make sure they are saved.

If you do the procedure above when you are setting a Series Link all the episodes will be saved and you will avoid the ball ache of having to save each one individually. Any probs get back on the board and I'll be only to pleased to help further.
    C'mon you Reds.

We just got a free TiVo box on Friday but I haven't a clue how to use most of it. Our internet had stopped working so an engineer came out. When he saw our old Pace box (that we basically never use) he said he had never seen one of those before (it was from the days of NTL) and swapped it with a TiVo he had in his van.

Reight, I've done that (I think) and Family Guy is on tonight so I will see what happens.

Thank you for taking the time to reply - much appreciated.

At the risk of sounding pedantic.......are you Virgin subscribers? I am and all of the information you need about using the box and making/keeping recordings is there in the Help section. It's easy enough to follow.....
