    My missus was a teacher and one of her year three pupils proudly told her and most of her classmates that her "mum was going to be on the telly".

    It transpired that she was telling the truth and her mum WAS on the telly. The only thing was it was a documentary about people who were 'binge drinking' and she was one of them :)

    When I lived in Deh Dah land my young un kept coming home from school crying because his classmates all said i was in prison just like their Dads. Our lass had to go up and explain that although i was away................ I was In the Far East onboard a RN Frigate. It took a full presentation with Photos before they left him alone.

    I remember when my lad was in the infants he told his teacher he was going to Beef for his holidays.....his teacher assumed Ibiza, it was actually Turkey
