I'm talking straight from the likes of Corbyn etc.. like the announcement about the 6 yrs free education plan.. Keep saying, I'm not knocking the policy itself but how will it be paid for.. Marlon claimed that the costings were all there already, just waiting for the link so can have a look. If they can demonstrate that all these promises can be delivered financially without ruining the country, there are some fantastic ideas. Any luck yet Marlon or are you going to dial back on calling me a liar?
MDG - All you need to know is that Sajid Javid will not go head to head with John McDonnell in a public debate
Didn't get any link for 2019 Costings.. So my whole concern stands, Labour are seeming going to spend far in excess of what they promised in the 2017 election so none of those costs will add up.. But yeah obviously you won't man up and apologise.
Nothing to do with my question. I'd ask the same questions around what the Tories and Fib Dems are promising as well. But Labours if what Crobyn is saying is correct will dwarf spending from botht he Tories and Lib Dems, hence my original concern. I'd love to be able to consciously get behind some of those things, especially the Education Service and public transport nationalisation, just want to know that my vote won't go to bankrupting the country. Nothing anti Labour about my questioning. Not sure why Marlon got on his high horse with his lies accusation... It's a genuine concern and probably one shared by many.
At least you say that.. I know.. my original post which Marlon jumped all over was this one and it clearly states I am waiting for the costings...they need to be truthful as to how some of the great ideas will be funded, how long it will take, ie 10-15 years.. Or are they intending to do it in one term? That is the bit that concerns me most. Waiting for the costings and analysis by the so called experts but Labour's spending seems unrealistic at best. They never account for the wealth removal from the country when they start to tax the wealthy and close tax loopholes. They will not have costed for businesses moving away to other countries when they raise corporation tax, yet they will make pie in the sky promises on everything just to win votes.. Plus they were not honest in their last manifesto as to when all these massive scale changes to our country would take place. Absolutely no chance of doing what they claim in a single term so why promise what cannot be delivered? They need to start telling the truth.
Got on my high horse ? That’s your interpretation rather than the meaning of my post . You blatantly tried to railroad my post to the 2019 manifesto which isn’t out yet when I clearly put 2017 . What else am I to think when it seems to me your deliberately doctoring to make your case ?
Because you jumped all over my post and rather than having a sensible discussion, you just went off the deep end with accusations of spouting lies which I have not, . That's why.
You could ask for clarification for starters, then have a discussion! I didn't railroad your post at all. You responded to mine instantly with the lies crap..
So you doctor my post to get your own back? I may have got your original post meaning wrong for which if I did I apologise. But to doctor my post to mean something else is below the board imo.
Sorry - I thought you said that Labour's costings were unrealistic at best. Correct me if I am wrong but at the last election one party had independent costings in their manifesto and one did not. One party claimed that austerity was needed to wipe the deficit in one term of Parliament, now whose arithmetic is flawed?
I accept your apology. I haven't doctored anything though.. I couldn't change your post if I wanted to.
No you couldn’t change it , it’s there for all to see and it isn’t what you were saying but I’ll not hold my breath for an apology .
