    If we had a defence that could keep clean sheets things wouldn't be as bad when forward players have off days.

    Thiam looked to have some raw skill and Ugbo some energy but we haven't any players that will give them the service to use it. Long season, thank God for that couple of million in the bank from asset stripping our best team in years or it almost wouldn't be worth it..

    Defending starts from the front and midfield and the fact is we are carrying two in midfield

    I think the problem is in mid field. Offers no protection what so ever to the defenders, even with an extra man.

    Exactly this! Any defence would struggle with Potts and Moncur (and today Pearson) "protecting" them. And Hedges, for all his decent skills upfield, leaves his side wide open.

    Lucky to lose 1-0 today.
