The Penistone and Stocksbridge area did themselves proud today. The villages looked amazing and the support was fantastic. By the end of the stage, the riders had been up some proper hills. Hope it returns soon.
I did the amateur ride and we had great support from most towns and villages on the way. Skirted round Penistone and Silkstone. Got home in time to watch pros on TV. The crowds were TdF2014-esque at times. Cramping like buggery now Sent from my SM-T800 using Tapatalk
Thought it was an excellent parcours today. It was as good as anything I've seen in the continental Spring Classics over the last few weeks. The four sharp climbs in the last 20km made for a fantastic and challenging race. And, of course, the crowds were typically amazing......... http://www.cyclingweekly.com/news/r...at-incredible-amazing-and-crazy-crowds-327992
