    Come April 1st, we've dropped away from the playoff race, but we're safely in mid-table. Sheffield Wednesday are 6th, and desperately need three points to cement their place in the playoffs. We stand to earn a million if they go up. A perfectly realistic situation.

    I doubt the players would purposely lose a football match so our board can benefit from an add on.

    Me too. Though it vaguely reminds me of the alleged situation during Peter Doyle's tenure (I think), when Bruce Dyer was told to stop taking penalties as he was on a bonus of £900 per goal!

    When I heard there was a promotion clause it just didn't make sense to me. It's like the club want Sheff Wednesday to get promoted to line their pockets.

    Short term thinking. The last thing we need is a local rival back in the Prem & poaching our fan base
