Anyone had one? I'm off to BDGH this evening to have a camera down (not up!). I wonder if they'll be able to see last night's Curry Mahal Special?
It's not pleasant. Take the local anaesthic spray if you can. May need someone with you if going for that unless getting taxi home etc. All the best
From memory i seem to remember not being allowed to drive. Someone here might be able to clarify alternatively might be worth giving them a buzz
I was told I was not to drive when I had one, but that was a good many years ago, may have changed now.
It probably varies from individual to individual and as to who does it. I had mine at Pontefract. I declined the spray and never had any side effects. My wife had driven me, but thinking back, I felt OK to have driven myself. Good luck Stahlrost.
The paperwork says you can drive but take someone with you in case they need to give you a sedative during the procedure. I was going to risk it, but I'll book a taxi having read this. I'll go to the pub for a sedative afterwards. I'll post the video on here, it will be far better than Whitey's feeble efforts. Thanks all for your advice and wishes.
My mam had one and the only comment she had was that the spray tasted like banana and nearly made her sick. She said the rest of it was fine.
I once had a camera rammed up my **** length and into my bladder through the old japs eye. I wouldn’t recommend it as torture for ISIS. Absolutely the worst thing ever.
Had one to check for possible perforation of my duodenum. Found it not too unpleasant, and was able to drive afterwards.
I've now got this image in my mind which I can't get rid of. I'm having the Tum Cam and the Cum Cam at the same time, and they both meet each other somewhere in between and start chatting. All while I'm laid there sweating and squirming. I've never known imagined pain to be so bad.
Had loads mate, first few was with Valium injections then went for the fully conscious version, what they do is numb the back of the throat put a mouth piece in & gently shove the camera down but you have to swallow it, once passed this stage it gets easier. You may wrench a bit as the camera goes further or retracts, just remember to breath normally, you'll be fine.
I’d ask to clean the device myself first just in case the previous patient had had it inserted up his behind. Lol. Best of luck
Had that mate and they found I'd a blockage between kidney and bladder so had to have an op to clear it. Left hospital on second day and all was ok for about 2 / 3 weeks then I started peeing what looked like blackcurrent cordial so when I went back for a check up the doctor told me the had left a stent in so he would send a camera up with a hook on the end to fetch the stent out. Anyway he shoves the camera up my gentleman's sausage with aforesaid retrieval device and tells me if I want to open my eyes I can watch it on screen. Just get the fecker out says I, at which I swear he yanked it like he was trying to start a petrol lawnmower after a winter's inactivity. Now that did make my eyes water (All three of them) As Terry Nutkins says - The worst torture ever.
