Not much about. Rickie Lambert is 35 but if we wanted a target man for 6 months could do a lot worse I reckon. Complete opposite of what the plan is. But the bloke would probably still hit the net regularly at champ level. Although wages would be an issue. Let see what Bradshaw, Thiam, Ugbo, Hedges (and Brown and Rowe if needed) can do until January.
Hey up mate, not sure which strikers are out there at the moment, but got a feeling Hecky will go with what we've got. Be interesting to see if we go back in for McBurnie in January. Suppose it depends where we're at.
There seems to be a few French lads recently out of contract.I'll start with Junior Tallo.By the way its only a bit of fun.
Can we just make one thing clear - Hecky would not have gone for a tall strong striker (McBurnie) if there wasn't a need for such a player at the club. Not getting this player has left a massive hole in Heckys options and formations.
McBurnie was never been brought in as a target man. The lad is a finisher. He would have been the best striker at the club....no doubt about it....but he would never have been used as a target man.
On the little evidence from his career so far that's quite a bold statement.... Bradshaw seems to be finding his feet a bit more this season in the championship. Ugbo and Thiam haven't played enough to have a decent idea of where they will be at the end of the season but they have similar experience in the championship as mcburnie and are both highly rated.

Get Brown in the squad once he's fit again. We could always bring in a free agent if any of the current strikers get injured.
5ft 11 isn't small. Strong anyway. He's the type of striker Nudger is on about and offers something we don't already have. McBurnie isn't that
Somebody like Rickie Lambert would do a job but he doesn't fit our policy. Hecky obviously thinks we need somebody else or we would have tried to have gone for McBurnie. Wouldn't be surprised to see that lad from Leyton Orient now sign a contract after his impressive spell with the under 23's and be fast tracked into the first team, especially if Hecky doesn't believe Jacob Brown can do it yet.
