How is it a unpopular opinion? If people are claiming JSA but have no intention of working they shouldn't be on it
I tell you what, you haven't a clue , but for those of us who have paid all our lives god forbid us receiving anything, ideally it would be better if we were put down & any money we had left give it to the poor immigrants who contribute so much
As the stats show, most people will contribute less than they take. Now we can make up some of that shortfall through taxing businesses etc, but if somebody works from 18-68, retires, then lives to 82, it's going to become increasingly expensive to fund both that pension as well as their healthcare costs etc. I've already accepted my state pension is either not going to exist, or is going to be given to me at around 75. If you're 35 or under you need to start making serious provisions for your retirement, around 8% of your salary a month. if you're older than 35 you're probably already buggered. We can probably also expect NI contributions to increase, and as much as people aren't going to like it, you need more people working to offset the costs. Basically the older generation are going to continue to squeeze us, but it's okay "I paid in my entire life".
And whe you get older.. youll be come one of those. Unless you take a one way trip to Dignitas. As for the migrant arguement theres stats that prove and disprove the same arguement.
That’s rubbish I know a lad at work who was on 45k a week who lost his job through no fault of his own and after six months lay off trying to find a job took a minimum wage job till he found something more towards his normal salary . He is 61 by the way and because he took the lower wage is finding it difficult to persuade other employers of his worth just by cv he can’t evem get past a cv to an interview . And has been looked past for someone unemployed because he took a minimum wage job as a fill gap
So he should have been paid JOB SEEKERS allowance without seeking a job? Sorry thats fraud. It isn't called 'we will pay you to sit on your arse till you find the perfect job for hat you think is good enough for you alloance'
I’ll pay towards state pensions the majoitty Agree with this. The pension system is an absolute mess. The age at which you can start claiming a state pension should have been linked to life expectancy but it was stuck at 65 for years. Now the younger working generation will be paying for a state pension most of their working life without ever receiving one.
I don't agree with that at all, you're always better off applying for a job when you have a job rather than when you're unemployed.
I'm also intrigued as to how Marlon knows why employers are not employing his mate if he's never even got to the interview stage. His age will (sadly) have a hell of a lot more to do with it than the fact he has a job now
I am sure that millionaire JCORBYN and TMAY et al plus reducing the Good lad , keep paying into the system .
Just a quick question, who paid for your education? Your medical needs as a youngster? Your grandparents pensions? Your generation aren't the first to have to pay tax and national insurance you know.
Nowt like changing the name of something to pressurise / victimise people into taking unsuitable jobs. Hence the rise of zero hours contracts.
Sorry but I disagree, if people have no intention of working they shouldn't be on JSA.Other benefits like disability or pension yes but JSA Nope
Sorry but I fail to see where ibe said that he didn’t want to work . Don’t do a ST and start guessing
