    Hard to believe now, but during my first couple of seasons we used to run on the pitch after every game.

    First time I saw myself on telly was after the 3-0 Rochdale defeat.

    Rory Fallon didnt do bad at Swansea. Butterfield is an average Championship laiker. Keeps doing sideways moves but at least it isnt downwards

    In the 67/68 promotion season last match at home I dug up a piece of turf. Aged 11. But keep it to thissen. Don't want coppers to come looking for me. Re the Rochdale game seem to remember one of the craziest own goals, backpass went straight through goalies legs. Might be wrong though, memory fades when you get to my age.

    Ha! My mate had a bit of the turf after the Newport game. Planted it in his garden

    I can't remember much about the Rochdale game, other than them warming up to "Day trip to Bangor"

    Stones, Hourihane, Holgate, Scowen, Mawson and Watkins are all playing regularly for much more money at a higher level than us. Most names to list are probably from the past few years. Going back in time further the last one was probably Chris Morgan? The likes of Nardiello, Howard and Bogdanovic all struggled after us despite thinking they were leaving for better.

    There was one horrific balls up he made between the East & Away stands against Reading I think it was that cost us a goal, might have been Shane Long or Noel Hunt that benefited it, awful moment
