anything in the romours? It might be clutching at straws but It would be worth a go until the end of the season.

Jr. Didcot Red 1 has seen romours on twitter that he is to take over until the end of the season. It seems a bit from field to me.

He would be the only man the could get us out of this mess. If board get him, I think opinions and results would start to change.

I don't think it'll happen from either side though.

Never thought I’d say it......but how I wish it were true. Not a cat in hells chance. Can’t see Colin working under those restrictions!

Strange that Mick McCarthy hasn't figured in that case - knows the Championship very well and did a good job with Ipswich. McCarthy, Redfearn, Warnock? Could we have a dream team?

I think Mick will be content to manage Ireland on £500,000k a year.

I can't see anyone like Warnock or Pulis interested when they'd have no input into recruitment.

Redfearn has done next to nothing to warrant the role, but it's something I'd get behind on nostalgia alone.

Dream on... often rumours come to fruition but there's 0% chance NW is in the equation for us.
He's a wise old man, does anyone realistically think he'd risk coming here? And that's assuming we could afford him

There's only one reason Adam Murray is in charge and that's because he was told so and he probably got drawn in and encouraged to take the 'opportunity' and the pay rise.
Of course that's just my opinion but I can't see why he'd see it as an opportunity to progress and put himself forward for it....nailed on w4nk start to a career in management. He's just another cheap scapegoat for the board.

He's exactly what we need so that's why we'll probably go for the exact opposite:D

Not a chance of Neil Warnock coming back to Oakwell . He played for us as a winger back in the late 1970s. I remember once we were playing York City away , it was foggy and NW was playing on the right wing. The reds were under the cosh and the Barnsley fans were singing " If they score and we can't see it , it doesn't count" to the tune of if you are happy and you know clap your hands !.Not that relevant but it lifts the gloom that's settled over this board and BFC at this current time.

Please Please forget the past, and get him in ASAP to save us! He is an ex red as a player and knows this league inside out!
He would demand experience though in January but surely even the current regime recognise that now.

It's not going to happen. Even if our owners approached him I think his response would be short and sweet. Two words probably.

Even if we can afford him I don't for one minute think the board will be willing to pay the going rate for a manager of his quality. Cheap n Cheerful, that's us now, remember!

Mick has been offered the job on three occasions in the past and has turned it down every time. He’ll never take the job at Oakwell. Doesn’t want to risk his relationship with club & town. Just not worth it (his words).

Did a brilliant rescue job with Rotherham a few years back in similar circumstances. If we paid him 500K to April I'd be happy with the same amount less spent on transfers. Given his family and health situation though I can't see it being remotely likely.

He played when I just started watching.

Head down winger as I recall.

My dad and many others would often shout op’en ‘gate and let the bugger ‘art.

His management skills far surpassed his wing play and we should be throwing the gates open and welcoming him back with open arms.

Not that I can see him working for the shower who own us. He’d not tow the party line and most likely be fired for speaking sense within an hour or 2.
