That shoe repair shop/key cutting place on Market Street opposite that entrance for the old co-op car park is where I usually get my watch straps (if you are after leather ones) or a battery replacement.

Should be between 5 and 10 but it depends on the watch.

As Salesman says £5-10 but depends on what sort of watch. if it is a divers watch and they have to replace the seal and pressure test £30 sounds about right (I used to go diving and that is how much mine cost) Otherwise used to be a bloke on market didi it in about 2 minutes and charged about £4 ( albeit about 5 years ago)

Never go near 'em since I was about 5 years old. I got a Christmas present which was a pocket watch with a second hand that was a football rotating and a kicking footballer. Being curious I took it up to my room and took teh back off to see how it worked. Springs and cogs went everywhere. I then got a shout from my dad to come down and show it to my Auntie Vi. After various excuses as to why I wanted to stay in my room the 'truth was out' (I wasn't though as I was sent to bed early and not allowed to take any of my Christmas presents with me). Still like to take stuff to pieces though and often get things working again but never anything involving clockwork or springs.
