Know everyone wants us to stay up and would never place such a bet,but surely that’s a massive rick by the bookies, what do they know we don’t

I'd lost sight of that market. That is a massive, massive rick. Your local knowledge can help you profit here if you have the detachment to separate your betting from your sentiments. 9/4 represents a 31% chance of being relegated. I would make us nearer to a 50% chance, which equates to Evens. Now is the time to bet like men!

I did this a few years ago. I put £50 on at 14/1, when there was still a mathematical chance of being relegated in the last game at Plymouth. The reasoning was that I don't win that sort of money, so it definitely wouldn't happen. The worst case scenario was that my season ticket payments would be covered for a couple of years. I call it emotional insurance.

Best price is 5/4. No idea where the OP got 9/4 from - we haven’t been that price in ages.

We were 9/4 with a number of bookies earlier. I took a screenshot of the bet I was about to put on BFC Relegation.jpg .

I wouldn't screenshot a bet with my account details on it. You'd have to live in Portsmouth to do something as stupid as that.

My point being If you’ve got £50 to waste at Ladbrokes il await your next ticket thread with interest.

What I did in 2010 was silly. Let's hope I've been equally as wasteful this time, although I can't see it being. It's only what I would have spent at Oakwell between now and the end of the season. That won't be happening now, after what I saw yesterday.
