Its easy to forget given how fantastic he's been how inexperienced Hecky is as a manager. The formation selected surrendered the initiative to a very poor wolves team. We looked disjointed and lethargic and Ill suited to the type of formation selected. This resulted in our centre halves by passing midfield and booting it to our non existent forwards. It was overthought and played into their hands. It's little coincidence that whenever we change formation we lose. Of course these games happen and in itself it's nowt to be concerned about and we weren't helped by a corrupt ref. At the same time the post Conor world based on Saturday and today looks like it will be a difficult one. The window isn't closed yet but based on current evidence we will leave it far weaker than we started. We needed to continue the policy and recruit well and for the future I'm not sure that we have. Loan after loan is deflating and in the long term adds no value. Still good value for Hecky attempting to **** the cheats on their bench. It's been a great 12 months let's hope we can regain and maintain our momentum. You let's not overthink it Reds.
Agreed. We have these shitty games where nothing goes in our favour. Mowett scores 1 on 1 we win in my opinion. Down to 10 were still the better team. **** it. Hecky can concentrate on what he's best at now (coaching not scrapping!) and expect to see a reaction on Saturday. All we can really do is get behind a team who are still giving their all and punching well against some serious financial handicaps.
Agree. Thinking back to the great escape and the Charlton match at home ,we played absolutely woeful to a not very good Charlton team and shipped six . Walking up Oakwell we were pulling fans from railway bridge ready to jump ffs. We did alright after, I'd have been surprised if we hadn't a game like that during season.
