Yet another sign we've made zero progress since the horror days of Danny Wilson. All potential progress has been ripped away by selling & not spending and being incredibly rich and not spending.

In 13/14 we brought in a manager around December time who was well, well, well out of his depth but fans turned a blind eye due to sentiment and we had a spineless squad who were nowhere near good enough. History repeats!

Barnsley aren't incredibly rich. Chien Lee is. You seem to be having a problem understanding that.

Quite a few do mate, and it's become the new black in terms of moaning at the board.

It's easy to look at other clubs with rich owners and compare, but the vast majority have debts that exceed their turnover.

Do we want to follow suit? Do we buggery.

And Who owns the whole club of Barnsley including finances? ....., Conway, Grace, Indian Guy, Billy Beane.

Of course though it makes no difference... Just look at the destitution of Wolverhampton Wanderers.

If your owner is rich than your club is rich as the person who owns the club has the power to pour in more money than a club with a less rich owner.

How much Chien Lee wants to put into one of his investments is his own business.

Then he should take his business elsewhere.

They're a hobby club. If you want to support a hobby club, get to Man City.

You clearly don't understand his plans for the club. It's about growing the club's revenue commercially, not throwing silly money at it. You've got a very immature attitude to finances.

Just googling some of the clubs and getting their figures up is an eye opener mate, even if they're not completely up to date or accurate.

On the face of things clubs are all glitz and glamour. Big name signings on big wages, but jeez mate, some of these clubs are mortgaged up to the hilt.

I read on Brentfords forum this season how they should expect to beat clubs like us, and how they were well in front of us as an established championship club.

I took into consideration their little ground and small gates and had a look at their finances, and they were summat like £35 million in debt at the time.

Anyone that wants his club to risk going bust just for the sake of being able to willy wave is either very irresponsible. Either that or thick.

Mills is a no-brainer for me. Look at how Long and Ramage have steadied the ship in recent seasons and neither of those came to us as the next Franz Beckenbauer. We've been crying out for someone with a bit of Championship nous to complement our talented but raw back line all season, also someone who might provide a bit of leadership and organisation - in Mills there's the distinct possibility we've found both... and for nothing.
