scores another when called upon, wins the ball in penalty area and gives it to Bahre? who wins a penalty and folks still want us to buy another forrard in January.

Stendel take note of that pass from keeper square to defender which Victor intercepted, cos that will happen to us if yer dunt get shut of that idea.

Saturday he got a goal and assist. Last night he won a penalty and got another assist. Gonna be a very good player for us Bahre.

Do you genuinely think we have enough firepower for a promotion push , allowing for potential injuries ? suspensions etc ?

We have different opinions on this , I thought we were o.K when Bradshaw was here, but when he moved on & Woodrow was injured for a lengthy time , we went stale up front , especially at home when clubs park the bus , we had no real options to change things . I do think the two young lads have promise but thats all , they are both a long way from the finished article & should we have an injury to either then I think we will struggle up front . I do not think Portsmouth or Sunderland for example would approach the second half of the season with just two experienced strikers at their disposal & to be honest as good as front two are , they havn"t that much experience either , in my opinion we need at least one more striker & an additional wide man .

But would we be recruiting anyone with more experience?

Why not, there are plenty of loan options out there , any loan would not compromise our current policy, as they would not be permanent signings but you can still sign permanent players under the age of 25 with plenty of experience , Mowatt for example falls in to that category but personally I would go down the loan route .

Any loan would IMO would push Victor down the pecking order and I would like to see some of the academy used more often.

Don’t think Vic is ready to be a regular starter. We need more cover.

We have to push this year for a quick return to the championship, if that means loans or signing experience then we must do that.
Big Vic, Brown, Bird, Bahre, Mcgheehan, Thiam, Williams, Cavare are all potentially good but are not hitting the Pinnock Mowatt Moore Dougall levels yet.
Moncur, Davies, Woodrow, Lyndsay and Fryers are not far off which means in the short term we could do with 2 to 3 additions as the first set as hard as they have tried have not done enough to earn the right to start after numerous chances so in this second half of the season harshly on some but for us to get promoted they may have to be replaced

He’s becoming a bit of a tap in merchant is Vic (which isn’t necessarily a bad thing) but I hope in January we sign a striker as cover for Moore and Woodrow.

If one of those 2 gets injured I would hope we don’t go back to playing 1 up front and I’m not sure Victor can do it week in, week out.

I think the club are bringing Victor on in the right way , off the bench when the situation is right, but when he has started he has been disappointing & if one of the main two gets crocked its a big ask for him to fire us towards promotion . Bringing academy players through is fine, as long as they are ready & good enough, as was Stones & Holgate but to be honest as I said previously , Victor & Jacob might be promising but in my opinion they are not the finished article , it depends whether you want a serious tilt at promotion or bring the kids on for the future , I know what direction I prefer .
