He must be a god. How could he possibly have seen that coming? Perhaps when the owners said they would sell anyone with a year left.
Not really a prediction is it nudge? The owners have stated since they arrived that players with 12 months left on contract will be sold if they don't renew or want to renew. If hecky could predict the lotto numbers for next draw then I'd be impressed!
Words to the effect - paying higher wages but Lindsay, Pinnock, Moore and Thiam are still likely to leave. But it’s not really about that. It’s about certain posters on here saying that I was making things up ....... I’d imagined my conversation with Hecky ...... that i was a liar. Just shows the type of ballax some folk on here spout.
I could have said the exact same thing but changed the person from hecky to King Kong and stated the obvious that players going to be sold who are going into the last 12 months of their contract. What does that prove nudge? I have no idea if you chatted to hecky or not but it's a shame he couldn't come up with something more obscure or interesting than stating the obvious.
If Moore does go, based on the fact he isn't in the last 12 months of his contract, it is gonna be a very good fee.
You use a situation like this to bring attention to yourself? Give it a rest man. Everyone's disappointed, but all you can do it plough your usual furrow.
It's the 'inability' to keep players that's worrying. Buy cheap, develop then sell for profit..... That's Barnsley FC. NOTHING changes.
I don't really mind I can see the club's policy pinnock would be for free in a year's time. But 3million? Pompey just got 5million for their center half. Pinnock was in ago team of the season, supporters player of season, he was immense last season to sell for that fee is poor. Biggest loss since Conor for me.
Agreed, but what bothers me more than anything is where he's gone. Don't get me wrong, I've nowt against Brentford, they're a friendly, family club and I enjoy visiting Griffin Park, but they're not the bigger club that I would expect to lose players to. They struggle to get 10k in their ground, despite being in dreamland compared to the majority of their past, and their new place only holds 17000, so they're not expecting to raise much brass through the turnstiles, yet they're paying the wages. They're a selling club, no doubt, but they are now buying the best players from the same league and from a historically higher placed and better supported club. If I was in charge of Barnsley fc, as a local bloke today would have sickened me, and I would be determined to grow our club and not let this happen again. For me today is significant and I hope the owners appreciate that. This isn't really a gripe at anyone at the club btw. Just me venting my frustration at losing a cracking player to a club that's spent 57 of its 92 years in the 3rd tier.
