We nearly got the draw. Would still have had to do the business v Burnley at home before any Man City trip.
Really happy with Luton’s draw, hopefully that results in a massive distraction to their league form, hoping for a very hard fought win against Wednesday first mind. Would’ve been nice for Portsmouth to get a nice draw at somewhere like arsenal too but hopefully they can keep a cup run going.
Thank fvck for that - we can't even beat their youth team. Hope Burnley are left gaping. 'Orrible club. I so hope they get relegated.
Depends on which team Man City put out. Liverpools misplaced arrogance against Wolves tonight backfired and having gone 2-1 down, by the time they got their star players on, they couldn't get the equaliser and were duly dumped out of the Cup.
Judging by yesterday, it wouldn't really matter. City could have been five up in the first 10 minutes.
Yeah can't blame Liverpool doing a Blunts. They have a bigger prize in sight and now have one less distraction.
Defo liverpool need to win prem. F a cup and champs league are a distraction this season. Gotta just all out for prem
Wouldn't call misplaced arrogance. Would call it not giving a **** about the FA Cup. Wolves are a excellent side who could on a good day best Liverpool's first team so I'm sure they knew the risk of making changes.
Yeah but the replay would be a forgone conclusion, easy win for the Reds, followed up by a shock revenge win against the City reserves as Pep concentrates on the league. Hell, we would have won the entire thing and qualified for the Europa League, which we would have also won after we got Ballotelli in as a present from Mr Lee. That'd have secured a Champions' League campaign, and a glorious night at the Nou Camp with a re-acquired Conor Hourihane scoring a hattrick. And we missed out on all that because they got rid of Brad Potts. No ambition whatsoever. Boo. Sack the board.
