    He's a good player but I feel his achievements are always overhyped simply because if who he is.
    If he spent as much on tax as he does on promoting himself and attracting media attention he wouldn't be a convicted criminal

    He might exaggerate a fall and whinge on the pitch but not sure it's fair to call him an unlikeable person. Unlikeable footballer maybe.

    I agree it was a penalty but he was still putting in the theatrics as he went down. Like they all do to be fair

    He's arguably the best for me. Did it in his own country to get a move to the biggest club in the world. Won loads at Man United. Won lots at Real Madrid. Helped his country win a tournament when they aren't regarded as one of the top nations. At it again scoring twice in a half in the first game of the next big tournament. He's been a success in three different countries and for his own country. If he manages to help them win the world cup so Portugal hold both major tournaments at the same time he has to best ever, if he's not already.

    Agreed. Although I feel like he’s won more/been better at Real. To win the champions league 3 times is incredible. (I hope you meant them as the biggest club in the world too haha)

    Also, I believe the pundits just said that Ronaldo has set a new record for scoring at 8 international major tournaments consecutively.

    I think his team honours and individual records probably makes him the best ever.
