What does a technical director do ???

Seen a thread a few weeks ago about a director of football/ Sporting director at Barnsley.

Some of what was said in it I don't think would work in the role.

Some of the names mentioned were dinosaurs of football.

The modern-day SD are normally younger people and often people that haven’t coached or not done well at it.
