    Whitey took some real flack last night for no reason what so ever. I don't agree with everything Whitey posts about BFC, but that's life isn't it? Some people got really personal towards him and from what I can see, it was over absolutely nothing.

    Do you have twitter mate? Have a look on his timeline, it got abit nasty. There's far too much of it to post but basically a large group of our supporters chose to vent their anger at Whitey for no reason at all, it was bullying.

    These same fans also mimicked the walk to Bradford claiming they're only doing the walk for free tickets.

    Completely disagree , I respect his views on football and i personally think he knows his stuff.

    He probably agrees with 1% of my views but that's what a football forum is all about

    Lets be honest if you have an opinion and it differs from someone else why would you agree with them ???

    But pointless having an opinion if you don't stand by it

    Interesting Tyrone, I stopped posting on here cos of the "I'm a better fan than you are attitude" and the constant petty arguments, fall-outs and nastiness from people who don't agree with your views. Ok, harsh, they are secondary reasons for me leaving, having to watch thereevs complete drivel on a daily basis was reason #1

    As for Twitter, I think there is less scope for nastiness as it's hard to completely belittle somebody in 162 characters :) And as for Whitey, he is as passionate a Red as I have ever known - of course I don't agree with him on everything, that would be pointless, but he genuinely eats, sleeps and breathes his town and his club and does so eloquently in my humble opinion. And he certainly doesn't need me to stick up for him.

    Mate it's really not worth stopping posting because you don't like a particular poster and also to say that whitey will bring this site to its knees is going over the top slightly and finally and I know I'm biased cos he's a mate of mine but he's a cracking lad and Barnsley thru and thru, I've often said that if folk actually got to meet up over a beer they would have a totally different view of each other, he does chew my ear off like but he hasn't Sussed I'm deaf in that ear

    extreme indeed and indicative of the nastiness that sometimes exists on here.

    i think there should be a "10 second rule" disclaimer with each post, or a countdown timer, with the warning "please ensure there are no derogatory or insensitive comments in the post you are about to submit. I taught myself that with work-based emails. :)

    Andy's a tremendous guy and as passionate a Barnsley fan as you'll find. I've often had arguments with him (usually during the close season, for some reason), but he's never come across as anything other than a great bloke. Perhaps he ought to start posting intolerant, divisive, ignorant comments to meet the narrow minded agenda of others. But he's too decent a man to do that.

    Don't know the feller, JLWBL, but I've always enjoyed parlaying with him on here - even if we've rarely agreed! But abuse is always out of order - look at the atrocious stuff directed at Sue Perkins because it was jokingly suggested she might take over from Clarkson on Top Gear.

    If the anonymity was waved for all these (so-called) social media sites, I'm sure the many "Billy Big Balls" would take a different tack.
