It's not been great but glimmers of improvement yesterday by all accounts. I do think the squad is good enough to stay up once the style of play is sorted - but that's taking an age, and I thought it was baked in to all the club playing tiers for continuity. Just tweaking required. What is Schopp trying to do?
Benn asking my self this most of the season never seen out like it. The players call it "playing off the cuff"
When the current board took over they stated that the club would be implementing a high pressing high intensity strategy and would be appointing head coaches that would have experience in carrying out such a game plan' what happened?
Passing around in little triangles like pre-match kickabout, then the big boys come and take the ball off us. Repeat Repeat Repeat Game over
Pointless tippy tappy stuff with a sprinkling of pointless crosses and shots resulting in pointless Saturdays.
I came across this article discussing why Man U are not very good this season. just seemed to pretty much apply to us Saturday was another new low for Solskjaer. Only David de Gea’s excellence stopped United conceding six or seven goals. They look under-coached, continue to concede high-quality chances from set pieces and continue to rely upon individual brilliance, but have now seemingly engineered a situation where they have so many of these individuals that it has undermined the team. After the game, Solskjaer spoke almost exclusively in vague clichés about hunger and desire. Again, that’s simply not good enough. “Downing tools” is one of the great myths of modern football; it very rarely happens. What can happen is that excellent players can grow so frustrated by the lack of a coherent system that they become slightly demotivated, in exactly the same way as you might get sloppy in an office job if you didn’t believe the company’s strategies had any logic. I'd quite like David Brent in charge with Gareth Keenan as his number two. Training would be excellent. "Go and get my guitar".
Definately assistant to the manager. We'd not want to end the dream team. Bring in Keith as chief accountant, Tim in charge of ordering stuff, Finchy as Sales Manager and Dawn in box office. Job done. Oh and Taff as head groundsman.
I don't see much in the way of improvement. A better performance than the previous 3 games & with a weaker starting 11. That said we don't look like scoring & simply don't create enough. The fact we lost more players during the international break to injury wakes me question our fitness & the desire for these players to play for Schopp. Looks like the end of the road for him if a miracle doesn't happen at Boro'. I wouldn't be putting the title deeds to my flat on it TBH. I feel completely at a loss with what has happened this season. The wheels have been taken off the bus & it seems to be jacked up & burnt out.
