Should Struber and his team stay or go? Which players will be sold and which retained What about the players out on loan? Are the board here for much longer and if so what will their excuse be to the fans for the loss of championship status this time?
Actually appoint a manager who knows League 1 and bring in players who know the league. Can always bring potential in but who have knowledge of the division. I'd be all over Nathan Jones.
We’ve got big issues. We’ll have well over 20 players still contracted to the club even after relegation. It’s more than likely we’ll need a new manager who will want his own players but how will that work when the club needs to get players off the wage bill first? The only 3 players who I see as attracting interest are Mowatt, Woodrow & Brown. What will happen to the Austrian’s & German? Can’t see them wanting to stay & play in league one on what I’d assume will be smaller wages due to relegation clauses. How do we get shut? Will we have to loan them out & pay a % of their wages? What happens with Diaby? If the clubs gave him something we’ll have to honour his contract. If he’s taken something himself then we could in theory sack him but there’s not much point in that when we’ve paid a fee for him & he’ll be seen as a sellable asset down the line. It’s a mess. I do think we’ve got several players who could form part of a promotion contending league one side - Collins, J Williams Sibbick Halme Oduor Dougall Simoes & Thomas but we’ll need to replace Mowatt, Woodrow & Brown well to challenge.
Maybe Sibbick might want to stay in Scotland? Dougall s contract must be coming up for renewal, not sure he ll want to stay if hes not playing. Chaplin will do a job for us, he works his socks off. I think Brown might stay with us. because at the moment he's not being showcased in his best position and isnt scoring. Andersen's girlfriend is coming to live with him according to the programme notes so he must still be planning on being here.
