Paul Heckingbottom had no say on transfers.

    Incoming or outgoing.

    No he did not though.

    Read his interview.

He had no idea what was happening.

He said alot of things many contradict the other. He also said "if any players were signed I didn't want they wouldn't be getting played" he also said one of the reasons he joined Leeds was their recruitment team and it meant he didn't have to get involved with player recruitment and could focus on coaching. Patrick cryne and GG have always said the head coach has the final say. This one has been done to a death on here.

So many different versions upon the answer to one simple question: Did the coach have the final say on which players joined the club?

It's one of those questions that you could only solve in a courtroom with well briefed counsel and evidence from either side.

Except that Hecky would be the star witness for either side of the argument, based upon what he's quoted as saying.

And thus end up (even more) discredited.

No matter what, he's the best man in charge we've had for many a year.

Let's just see how quickly things change if DS can't keep us in the top 6.

Lee johnson never threw the teddy out and said he had all the players forced on him when we were bottom of the league and couldn't buy a win. Like i said hecky said alot of things and many contradicted the other. Patrick cryne and GG have both said that the head coach has the final say in any incomings and outgoings and I belive them

He also said he hated Leeds and then he left us to manage them so how can we trust anything else he said?

Sometimes he said he did, sometimes he said he didn't. What Paul Heckingbottom says cannot be used as the definitive answer to what is going on..

I can link you to interviews where he says the opposite, so what do we make of it all?

Simple really, his testimony cannot be relied upon and it would be foolish to build an argument with that as the basis

I get exactly the same feeling when the Brexit posts dominate a BFC forum which is significantly more frequently than any other BFC related subject. The subject of Hecky has been done to death but nowhere near as often as Brexit.

Brexit posts, seem to be the one topic that very quickly degenerate into an argument and name calling.

True, plus the same opinion based 'facts' posted over and over again ad nauseam.
