Also played on pitches just down from Tow Law stand in Hoyland and opposite Saville Square and Hare n Hounds pubs in Hoyland Common.

Kex Rec, Darton Rec, Kex junior school and Darton High School. All still there, so nowt for your story. Darton High School is a completely new build but the sporting facilities are now much better.

Summat that has gone is the sixth form college which had quite a bit of grass, but all the sport was down at the Honeywell site which I believe is still a sports centre.

Nowt to write about, but good news.

    The better options were:

    - The park
    - Aspin fields
    - Top fields

    Anywhere else?

Cheers for this - keep 'em coming.

Not really that arsed if they've gone either. I just want to do a before and after picture of some of the fields so if anyone's got any pictures of Poggy fields in it's glory days let me know

On the road between Bolton and Highgate next to Carfield junior/infants school. It was still there last time I drove past for the Forest game.

If playing footy or cricket it was on the Wombwell High School (RIP) fields
But riding bikes building camps was on the Hillies fields between the high school and Hemingfield a lot of which is now a golf course
